ORION CADStar is a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) application for small to medium emergency call centers. A map-centric design, robust feature set, scalability and configurability make it an ideal choice for mission critical communications. CADStar offers an intuitive “information-on-demand” graphical user interface enhances operator performance, reduces training requirements and speeds system implementation.

ORION CADStar delivers an efficient presentation of information and provides browser-based reporting. Its robust feature set:

• Detects duplicate calls
• Displays multiple incidents
• Lists premise history and supplemental details, such as Small Outline Packages (SOPs), hazardous material information, contact lists, unit recommendations and more

CADStar integrates web technologies and Map Objects from ESRI. It offers comprehensive messaging, reporting and external interface capabilities. In most environments, it can be deployed on existing VESTA® hardware.

CADVisor, a Web-based Management Information System (MIS) module that provides real-time access to CADStar through an intranet network, is included with CADStar. CADVisor enhances situational management, offers timely reporting and improves operational analysis.

CADVisor allows users to access Web CallTaker, a browser-based incident entry tool used for remote call-taking with computers that either do not have or need CADStar capabilities. Just as with CADVisor, pending calls and Unit Status views can be accessed through Web CallTaker. User access for Web CallTaker requires authentication and security privileges.
